Our Story

Born from Love, Built on a Dream

BrittiCares exists because a little girl named Brittiana believed that no child should ever feel alone while fighting cancer.

A joyful young girl representing Brittiana's spirit

"I think all young patients battling cancer should have a room makeover."

In Memory of Brittiana Renee Henderson

A Heart Bigger Than Her Battle

Brittiana Renee Henderson was diagnosed with bone cancer at the tender age of 10. Brave, warm-hearted, and full of light, she faced her illness with a spirit that inspired everyone around her.

During her very first week in the hospital, Britt asked her parents if she could buy a toy for every new patient she met — she wanted to lift their spirits and let them know they were not alone. Her parents said yes, and that simple, generous act of love became the seed of BrittiCares.

When Brittiana came home after her first round of chemotherapy, her parents had transformed her bedroom into a bright, airy sunflower-themed sanctuary. She was overjoyed. Looking around at her beautiful new room, she told her parents: "I think all young patients battling cancer should have a room makeover." That dream became BrittiCares' mission.

They began by giving colorful blankets and pillows to patients with long hospital stays — small gifts of comfort and hope. Eventually, they completed their very first bedroom makeover.  When Brittiana passed away at age 13 from a secondary cancer, AML Leukemia, her parents honored her memory by sponsoring bedroom makeovers and naming them "Imagine Me" Bedroom Makeovers — because she would always say " Mom and Dad, Imagine this"  That amazing imagination has created countless smiles!

"Imagine Me" Bedroom Makeovers

Each room is carefully imagined to celebrate a child's dreams, personality, and limitless potential. Because every child deserves to imagine themselves beyond their diagnosis.

"Imagine Me"  Never stop dreaming, no matter what youre going through!
